Warranty certificate

This removable card shows the place and date of purchase. In order to activate the warranty, this card must be filled in correctly; it must bear the date, stamp and signature of the authorized Vacheron Constantin retailer. Without the card, a maintenance cost will be charged to the customer during the Limited warranty.

Limited Warranty 

The following terms of the Vacheron Constantin Limited warranty apply to Vacheron Constantin watches sold or presented for warranty service in the United States of America and Canada (for Australia, please refer to the Vacheron Constantin warranty for Australia here below and for other countries, please refer to the Vacheron Constantin International warranty hereabove).

Your Vacheron Constantin watch is warranty for a period of 24 months from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects that are found and recognized as such by a Vacheron Constantin authorized repair center, subject to the following conditions. Any part found to be defective as a result of a manufacturing defect by an authorized Vacheron Constantin repair center will be, at the sole discretion of Vacheron Constantin, repaired or replaced free of charge. 

Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, this Limited warranty shall be the exclusive manufacturer warranty . Neither this Limited warranty  nor any other warranties, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, any implied warranty  of merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose, shall extend beyond the period of twenty-four months from the date of purchase.

The liability of Vacheron Constantin is limited solely and exclusively to repair or replacement as stated herein. Vacheron Constantin shall not be liable, by virtue of this Limited warranty or otherwise, for any loss or damage arising out of the use of or inability to use your watch or for any incidental or consequential damages relating in any way to your watch. Some States, Provinces or Territories do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty  lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the hereunder limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.

The Vacheron Constantin Limited warranty does not cover:

- defects and damage caused by accidents, improper or abusive use (including knocks, dents, crushing, etc.);

- normal wear and tear of the components;

- misuse or lack of regular maintenance or cleaning of the watch; 

- defects resulting from magnetic fields or climatic conditions;

- infiltration of humidity into the case and oxidation (in the case of non-water-resistant watches);

- alterations, tampering, dismantling or services and repairs carried out by anyone else other than the Vacheron Constantin After-Sales Service in Geneva, Switzerland or one of its authorized repair centres;

- any non-metallic straps or bracelets (leather, rubber synthetic polymer, etc.); 

- watches with the serial number or any other identification mark removed or altered; 

- theft or loss.

In order to benefit from this Vacheron Constantin Limited warranty , you will be required to present the original warranty certificate, duly completed, dated, stamped and signed by an authorized Vacheron Constantin dealer. Any modification, transformation or alteration of the warranty  certificate after its completion will render it null and void.

This Limited warranty grants you specific legal rights, in addition to which you may have other legal rights which vary from Country to Country, from State to State, from Province to Province and from Territory to Territory.

International Warranty 

The following terms of the Vacheron Constantin International warranty apply to Vacheron Constantin watches sold or presented for warranty  service in any country except the United States of America and Canada (for these countries, please refer to the Vacheron Constantin Limited warranty  you will find below) and Australia where the Vacheron Constantin Warranty  for Australia applies (see below).

Your Vacheron Constantin watch is warranty for a period of 24 months from the date of purchase (except where Vacheron Constantin confirms an extension of the warranty  in writing) against manufacturing defects that are found and recognized as such by a Vacheron Constantin authorized repair center, subject to the following conditions. Any part found to be defective as a result of a manufacturing defect by an authorized Vacheron Constantin repair center will be, at the sole discretion of Vacheron Constantin, repaired or replaced free of charge. 

The Vacheron Constantin International warranty does not cover: 

- defects and damage caused by accidents, improper or abusive use (including knocks, dents, crushing, etc.);

In your capacity as consumer, you may have legal rights under applicable national legislation governing the sale of consumer goods; those legal rights are not affected by this warranty .

Intervention Warranty 

The intervention warranty  is given in addition to the warranty provided to you upon purchasing a Vacheron Constantin watch. The intervention warranty  is issued after any intervention on your watch, which has to be carried out by the Vacheron Constantin After-Sales Service in Geneva, Switzerland or one of Vacheron Constantin’s authorized repair centers listed in the present passport and available at the website www.vacheron-constantin.com.

The intervention warranty is valid for each intervention and solely for the work carried out within 24 months from the intervention date indicated in the service booklet included in the present passport duly completed and bearing the stamp or signature of the Vacheron Constantin After-Sales Service in Geneva, Switzerland or one of its authorized repair centers. Any transformation or modification of the service booklet after its completion shall render it null and void.

The Vacheron Constantin intervention warranty does not cover:

- defects and damage caused by accidents, improper or abusive use (including knocks, dents, crushing, etc.);

- normal wear and tear of the components;

- misuse or lack of regular maintenance or cleaning of the watch; 

- defects resulting from magnetic fields or climatic conditions;

- infiltration of humidity into the case and oxidation (in the case of non-water-resistant watches);

Additional warranty conditions applicable in the United States of America and Canada only: Limited Intervention warranty </u>

Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, the Vacheron Constantin Intervention Warranty  set forth above is a Limited Intervention Warranty  and shall be the exclusive Intervention Warranty  in lieu of any other express warranty s/warranties. Neither this Limited Intervention Warranty  nor any other warranty s/warranties, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, any implied warranty /warranty of merchantability or implied warranty /warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, shall extend beyond the period of 24 months from the date of intervention. Vacheron Constantin will repair or replace any defective spare part under the Limited Intervention Warranty  free of charge. This is the sole and exclusive remedy. Vacheron Constantin shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages. Some states, provinces or territories do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty /warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.

INTERVENTION WARRANTY  FOR INTERVENTIONS PERFORMED IN AUSTRALIA

Mandatory Statutory Rights. Our goods come with warranty s that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. 

Vacheron Constantin Intervention warranty . This Intervention warranty  for Australia is in addition to the warranty  provided to you upon purchasing a Vacheron Constantin watch and gives you additional rights provided by Vacheron Constantin. The Intervention warranty  for Australia is issued after any intervention on your watch performed in Australia, which has to be carried out by the Vacheron Constantin After-Sales Service in Geneva, Switzerland or one of the Vacheron Constantin authorized repair centres listed in the present passport. Should your Vacheron Constantin watch prove defective after an intervention, please contact the Vacheron Constantin dealer indicated on your warranty  certificate or one of Vacheron Constantin authorized repair centres indicated in the present passport. In order to benefit from this Intervention warranty  for Australia you will be required to present the Vacheron Constantin service booklet included in this passport duly completed, dated and bearing the stamp or signature of the Vacheron Constantin After-Sales Service in Switzerland or one of its authorized repair centres. Any transformation or modification of the service booklet after its completion shall render it null and void. This Vacheron Constantin Intervention warranty  covers defects for interventions carried out on your Vacheron Constantin watch within 24 months from the intervention date indicated in the service booklet. Vacheron Constantin will repair or replace the identified defective spare parts under the Intervention warranty  free of charge. Upon expiration of the Intervention warranty  period, any repair or service will be subject to a service charge. 

The Vacheron Constantin Intervention warranty  does not cover defects and damage caused by accidents, improper or abusive use (including knocks, dents, crushing, etc.); normal wear and tear of the components; misuse or lack of regular maintenance or cleaning of the watch;  defects resulting from magnetic fields or climatic conditions; infiltration of humidity into the case and oxidation (in the case of non-water-resistant watches); alterations, tampering, dismantling or services and repairs carried out by anyone else other than the Vacheron Constantin After-Sales Service in Geneva, Switzerland or one of its authorized repair centres; any non-metallic straps or bracelets (leather, rubber synthetic polymer, etc.); watches with the serial number or any other identification mark removed or altered; theft or loss.

 Warranty  for Australia

Nevertheless, should your Vacheron Constantin watch prove defective, please contact the Vacheron Constantin dealer indicated on your warranty  certificate; only authorised Vacheron Constantin dealers are entitled to provide warranty  services as defined in this Vacheron Constantin Warranty . In order to benefit from this warranty  you will be required to present this Vacheron Constantin warranty  certificate duly completed, dated, stamped and signed by an authorized Vacheron Constantin dealer. This Vacheron Constantin Warranty  covers defects of materials or workmanship of your Vacheron Constantin watch. Vacheron Constantin will remedy these identified defects free of charge for up to 24 months from the date of purchase. Thereafter, Vacheron Constantin will repair any defective watch or part subject to a service charge. The Vacheron Constantin Warranty  does not cover defects and damage caused by accidents, improper or abusive use (including knocks, dents, crushing, etc.); normal wear and tear of the components; misuse or lack of regular maintenance or cleaning of the watch;  defects resulting from magnetic fields or climatic conditions; infiltration of humidity into the case and oxidation (in the case of non-water-resistant watches); alterations, tampering, dismantling or services and repairs carried out by anyone else other than the Vacheron Constantin After-Sales Service in Geneva, Switzerland or one of its authorized repair centres; any non-metallic straps or bracelets (leather, rubber synthetic polymer, etc.); watches with the serial number or any other identification mark removed or altered; theft or loss.
